Growing up just down the street from this iconic surf spot, I spent my youth fully immersed in the local beach culture. Competing in the famous Stone Steps Surf Contest remains one of my most cherished memories, marking both my first and last surfing competition.
Because this landmark holds such a special place in my heart, I felt compelled to recreate it in this piece—capturing the vibrant color, history, and nostalgic beauty of the 1997 version. It is a true tribute to the community and the timeless spirit of Leucadia.
